PROMPTHAMMER – RDR QUEST INSTALLATION KIT v001
Prepared 17 October 2026. A separate adapted build based on rdr1-quest 0.1.1 alpha.

This kit contains mod source, tools, content hashes and prompts. Supply your game files and personal signing key locally. Keep mod/LICENSE, mod/NOTICE.md and the licenses beside third-party assets. source-provenance.json identifies the upstream and local adaptations. Upstream SOURCE_MANIFEST.json describes its baseline; kit-manifest.json covers this complete adapted kit.

SUPPORTED INPUT PROFILE
Android/Netflix RDR 1.58.63226194, package com.netflix.NGP.Kamo, engine variant 2. The original export contains base.apk, split_data0.apk and split_data1.apk. A separate local data container supplies 122 matching game archives/videos. v001 requires the exact original APK and asset hashes in expected-inputs.json. Other files are refused even when their filenames or printed version numbers match.
Search hint for the separate data container: Red Dead Redemption Netflix Data APK 1.58.63226194. This kit does not name or link a download source.

REQUIREMENTS
Quest 3, developer setup and authorized ADB connection; Windows PC for this tested workflow; local agent with terminal/file access and optional computer control; Python 3.10+; internet for official build tools. Allow at least 30 GiB on the selected PC work drive for a new import/build. Let the installer calculate headset space. This adapted build installs seven APKs and prepares another approximately 3.48 GiB of private game data. Gameplay runs on the headset without PC streaming.
Use existing ADB where available and explicit device identifiers. USB is simplest for initial installation and authorization. Our Wi-Fi connection has been tested; users without wireless debugging should first authorize USB debugging.

THREE STEPS
1. Export the original APKs and provide the local data container. The original export helper is mod/EXPORT_RDR_APKS.bat. Keep all original files. On our Pixel, normal ADB exports the three APKs but cannot access the private downloaded assets; this selected workflow therefore imports separately provided local data.
2. Run Import-LocalData.py with --original-export, --data-container and --destination set to actual local paths. Choose a new output folder. It reads the container as an archive, never installs or runs its application, checks three original APKs and all 122 selected assets, and preserves originals. On failure inspect the cause and choose a fresh output directory; do not delete user data automatically.
   First verify Get-Command Get-FileHash in the chosen PowerShell host. Our recorded execution uses existing PowerShell 7; the Windows PowerShell environment initially launched here had a module-resolution issue. Run mod/tools/build-and-install.ps1 with -GamePackage pointing to prepared-game, a dedicated -WorkDir and initially -BuildOnly. Retain the existing personal -Keystore for updates. The builder additionally verifies APK signatures and the engine. Install through the same assistant with the same -WorkDir/-Keystore and an explicit -Serial; omit -BuildOnly and a repeated -GamePackage/-Rebuild to reuse the verified build.
3. Run Apply-ComfortProfile.ps1 with the actual -Adb path, selected -Serial and dedicated -WorkDir. Start the installed game from unknown sources. Our tester confirms Netflix sign-in was required on Quest as well; complete personal sign-in privately. Verify the spatial game world, head tracking, movement and minimap visually.

ACCEPTED DISPLAY/PERFORMANCE PROFILE
debug.rdrvr.vr.hud.follow=0 – head-locked HUD.
debug.rdrvr.vr.hud.flash=0,0 – full HUD in one shared layer; removed minimap flicker in our test.
debug.rdrvr.vr.hud.down=-10 – accepted higher HUD/minimap position.
debug.rdrvr.foveation=2 – medium reduction of detail at the image edges, accepted for the demonstration.
The original GPU helper runs on the headset and raises performance only when requested by the game. The tested game setting requests 690 MHz GPU and CPU level 8; original heat protection remains enabled. No PC streaming session is needed during play.
Render scale remained 100%, TAA LITE, NATIVE texture filtering and sharpening OFF. This does not install an HD texture pack or graphics overhaul. No controlled visible quality gain or sustained performance gain was established.

AFTER A HEADSET REBOOT
The four Android properties are temporary and the GPU helper stops on reboot. Reapply Apply-ComfortProfile.ps1 using the authorized connection before playing. It does not launch the game or modify saves. Previous property values are stored in its local WorkDir. With the same device and -Restore it restores those values and stops the helper. It verifies the target, Quest model and tested game version before making changes.

TEST LIMITS
The personal Quest alpha and minimap fixes were visually accepted by our tester. TESTSTATUS.json records the new kit's checks. A newly built APK set is not a new gameplay test until that specific set has been installed and visually tested. The audience prompt is prepared but has not completed a full independent-system run.
The upstream UPDATE scripts are excluded so they cannot overwrite these pinned adaptations. Review future kit versions separately. For the tutorial, capture the actual three steps and real headset output; do not present a concept image as gameplay.

STAYING AWAKE DURING WI-FI INSTALLATION
Before transfer, keep the explicitly selected Quest awake with adb -s TARGET shell am broadcast -a com.oculus.vrpowermanager.prox_close. Verify CLOSE and a MountWakeLock in dumpsys vrpowermanager. Increasing screen timeout alone does not prevent Quest sleep when removed. After installation/recording, return control to the physical sensor using adb -s TARGET shell am broadcast -a com.oculus.vrpowermanager.automation_disable. This is a temporary installation aid; leave Guardian/boundaries unchanged. Documentation: https://developers.meta.com/vr/documentation/unity/meta-xr-operator/quest/

COMFORT TEST UPDATE
The specific new build was confirmed to work in-headset. During later horseback gameplay, our tester reported discomfort. Technical playability and resolved minimap flicker do not establish a comfortable VR experience. Present this early alpha accordingly.
